Israel deputy PM: Iranian nuclear sites vulnerable (AP)

HERZLIYA, Israel ? Israel's deputy prime minister says Iran's suspected nuclear weapons sites remain vulnerable to possible military strikes, suggesting that underground bunkers do not offer sufficient protection.

Moshe Yaalon also told an academic conference Thursday that Tehran is trying to develop missiles with a range of 6,250 miles (10,000 kilometers) that could reach the United States. He did not elaborate

Yaalon's remarks follow comments by the U.S. defense secretary, Leon Panetta, who recently said U.S. bunker-buster bombs were not powerful enough to penetrate all of Iran's defenses.

Yaalon suggested the forces guarding the Iranian sites could be targeted and that "at the end of the day, it's possible to strike all the installations."
