American Greg Hancock Wins the Speedway Grand Prix Motorcycle World Championships

At 41 years old, the lone American in the global motorcycle racing series overcame a knee injury to secure his second World Championship title at the Croatian Grand Prix ? making him only the third American to conquer the series in the 75 year history of the sport.

BENICIA, Calif., Sept. 29, 2011 (GreatStocks.info) ? Greg Hancock, the only American competitor in the Speedway Grand Prix, secured the World Championship title during a heat at the Croatian Grand Prix over the weekend. At the age of 41, Hancock overcame torn ligaments in his left knee to become the oldest world champion in the history of the sport and only the third American rider to win the series in its history.

?It still hasn?t sunk in, I?m feeling so good and I just want to celebrate now, but there are still more races to come this year,? Hancock said. ?The adrenaline pretty much took the pain away and I didn?t think about the knee. I?ll pay for it later, but I?m over the moon with this.?

Going into the event with a 31 point lead over Jarek Hampel, the long-time Red Line Oil sponsored rider sealed his victory with a fourth place finish in heat 20 after building up an unrecoverable advantage over Hampel in the points race.

In a sport long dominated by Europeans, Hancock competed in this year?s series as the sole American. Since the inception of the sport in the 1930s ??? where motorcycles race around a dirt track flat-out without brakes, using body weight to lean into turns ? only two other Americans have ever won the World Championship???Jack Milne in 1937 and famed racer Bruce Penhall in 1981 and 1982. After winning the event in 1997, Hancock matched Penhall?s two-win record by winning again fourteen years later.

?Greg?s accomplishment is simply staggering,? said Cameron Evans, Director of Sales and Marketing for Red Line Oil. ?At 41 years old, his accomplishment is really unprecedented.?

On October 8, Hancock will end his Grand Prix season with the FIM Enea Gorzow SGP of Poland, where he will be presented with the brand-new World Championship trophy. Despite already being the champion twice over, Hancock is hoping to claim another gold medal to his 2011 season at this final event.

The Tea Party Debt Commission hearing?at Denny's.

A harried waitress picks up orders ("Give her a great tip!" says Steinhauser), and the program begins. Matt Kibbe, the mutton-chopped president of Freedom Works, starts by saying the first grassroots debt hearing, in Utah, was a huge success, with 300 attendees. "We spent three hours talking about some pretty substantial budget issues, stuff your member of Congress probably doesn't even know about," he says. "That's where we're going. We've got to push these budget issues for ourselves."

RealTime Fantasy Sports - Bears' LB Briggs keeps causing havoc

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) - Lance Briggs made it clear just a few weeks ago he wanted to be traded if the Chicago Bears wouldn't restructure his contract. He hasn't stopped making big statements since then.

He's just delivering them on the field.

The six-time Pro Bowl linebacker has been creating his usual havoc and will try to keep it up against Carolina on Sunday, while Chicago (1-2) will look to brush off back-to-back losses to New Orleans and Green Bay.

He's been credited with 15 tackles by the team in each of the past two games and is playing as well as ever at age 30.

``That ceiling can go a long way with him, with what he can do,'' coach Lovie Smith said. ``And we need our stars to play like that each week. And he's definitely one of our stars.''

Against Green Bay, Briggs had seven solo tackles and two tackles for loss. He stripped James Starks in the backfield early in the fourth quarter of a 27-17 loss, leading to a fumble recovery by Julius Peppers and a 32-yard touchdown pass from Jay Cutler to Kellen Davis.

A week earlier, he had 10 solo tackles at New Orleans, but the Bears got knocked around 30-13. They've allowed 57 points in the past two games, and that stands out to Briggs as Chicago prepares for Carolina.

Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers each threw for three touchdowns while completing more than 70 percent of their passes against a defense that ranks 25th overall. Now comes Newton, the rookie sensation who has more than lived up to the billing after being taken with the No. 1 pick in the draft. All he's done so far is throw for more than 400 yards twice, tying and then breaking the single-game record for a rookie, and he ranks third behind Tom Brady and Brees with 1,012 yards.

``We haven't been playing characteristic type of football,'' Briggs said. ``We can't expect to win games if we're giving up that many points.''

Briggs, meanwhile, might be better than ever.

``Am I? Probably,'' he said, smiling.

Briggs is one of only four linebackers in franchise history to make six straight Pro Bowls, along with Dick Butkus, Bill George and Mike Singletary, and he has led the team in tackles two of the past three years.

In that sense, it is not hard to see why he might want a new contract. It's also not hard to see why the Bears wouldn't budge.

With three years left on a six-year, $36 million deal, management basically told Briggs to leave them alone and that issue appears to be on the backburner for now.

There are more pressing matters for a team coming off losses to two of the best teams in the league. If the Bears want to contend after winning the NFC North and advancing to the conference championship game, they need to win games like this week's.

Briggs certainly has been doing his part.

``He's a premier tackler in space,'' defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli said. ``He's as good a tackling linebacker in this league, not just in line tackling but in space. He's exceptional. He's got great instincts.''

Some of those instincts developed when Panthers coach Ron Rivera was the Bears' defensive coordinator from 2004 to 2006. He got Briggs to buy into the system, what they were trying to accomplish, and helped him develop into a Pro Bowl player.

``He had a way of explaining things to a player, to inspire him, and it also let me know that he was there,'' Briggs said. ``He'll tell you, `That's not an easy play for anybody to make, but if you can make that play, you will shut this play down.' For me, that helps in a lot of ways. I've gone through life with a lot of coaches who say, `Just do it this way because I told you to do it.' Ron Rivera to me, everybody kind of felt the same way about him.''

He's looking forward to seeing Rivera and, for that matter, Greg Olsen, the tight end the Bears traded to Carolina in the summer.

``It'll be fun seeing Greg cross the middle,'' Briggs said. ``I'll get a chance to cover him, get my hands on him a little bit, maybe get a chance to irritate him. But hey, outside of that, it's fun.''

NOTES: The Bears held S Chris Harris out of practice Thursday because of soreness in his hamstring after he participated without limitations the previous day. ``You're always concerned when a guy misses a Thursday practice, but we have a little bit of time, still,'' Smith said. ``We have other guys who can play if he can't go, but hopefully, he'll be able to.'' ... RB Kahlil Bell (back) sat out, while WR Earl Bennett (chest), TE Matt Spaeth (calf) and OT Gabe Carimi (knee) remain sidelined. RB Marion Barber (calf), S Major Wright (head/neck) and LS Patrick Mannelly (hip) practiced without limitations.

Amnesty asks lawmakers to debate Kashmir graves (AP)

SRINAGAR, India ? An international human rights group says lawmakers in the India-controlled portion of Kashmir should discuss the recent discovery of unmarked graves containing more than 2,000 unidentified bodies.

Amnesty International said late Monday that the disputed Himalayan region's assembly should demand the state government set up an independent panel and provide resources to identify the bodies.

The single and mass graves located in three northern districts contain 2,156 unidentified bodies and 574 known to be those of local residents.

The revelation made in August by a state-run commission reversed years of Indian insistence that the bodies were those of foreign militants killed in fighting Indian forces for the region's independence or merger with Pakistan.

Pace of UAW, Ford talks expected to quicken (Reuters)

DETROIT (Reuters) ? The United Auto Workers expect the pace of talks with Ford Motor Co to quicken now that the sides are tackling economic issues and union President Bob King is at the table, a union official said on Monday.

The sides began "high-level financial discussions" for a new four-year labor deal that workers expect to be richer than one with General Motors Co.

"I was joined today in my discussions with the company by President Bob King, and both he and I made it very clear to the company that now is the time to get down to business," UAW Vice President Jimmy settles, who is leading the talk at Ford, said in a memo. "I expect the pace to quicken."

Settles added he was pleased with the status of the talks and most of the issues were focused on "economic language." He previously said once a deal was close that meetings would "last around the clock."

Teams of negotiators for the union and Ford, the only U.S. automaker to avoid bankruptcy, have been meeting for about two months. Financial issues typically are addressed in the final stages of negotiations.

The union began an intense focus on Ford a day after the UAW, failing to finalize a deal with Chrysler Group LLC, extended its contract with the Fiat SpA-controlled automaker until October 19.

Chrysler and UAW negotiators held "high-level" discussions over the weekend and will continue on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, UAW-represented workers have begun voting on a tentative four-year deal reached a week ago with GM. Union officials hope to wrap up that voting by Thursday.

As of Monday afternoon, at least 13 union locals had voted to ratify the deal, three had voted against it and 37 more had yet to vote, according to a union dissident group. UAW officials could not be reached to comment.

At the large GM Lordstown plant in Ohio, which begins voting on Tuesday, workers on Monday were writing "Vote No" on cardboard placards and leaving them in Chevrolet Cruze cars going down the assembly line, said Lordstown worker Nick Waun.

"I have seen (GM) bosses going up and down the line pulling them out of the cars," said Waun of the worker-made signs.

The GM deal would keep or create more than 6,000 factory jobs, raise wages for entry-level workers, and guarantee all workers bonuses of at least $11,500 over four years.

The Detroit labor talks will set wages and benefits for about 112,500 unionized autoworkers and establish a benchmark for wages at auto parts suppliers and nonunion plants run by Asian and German automakers.

New four-year contracts for GM and Chrysler workers would be the first since those two companies were bailed out by the Obama administration in 2009. UAW-represented autoworkers have gone without a base pay increase since 2003.

The uncertain outlook for auto sales in 2012 and the risk of a renewed U.S. recession have made the Detroit automakers reluctant to offer traditional wage increases. Also, GM and Chrysler UAW workers gave up the right to strike for these contract negotiations as part of the government bailout.

Chrysler Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne and UAW President Bob King met on Friday and "productive discussions are ongoing," the union and the automaker said. The union said those talks continue.

One issue Chrysler and the UAW could not agree on was the number of workers paid the entry-level wage of about $15 an hour, about half the traditional rate, said a source familiar with the talks who asked not to be identified. The automaker wants no limits on the number of such workers it can use, while the union wants a cap.

Chrysler has sought a cost-neutral contract, which would require wage increases for entry-level workers to be offset by higher worker healthcare contributions or in other areas.

Healthcare costs, then, would be one area in which a Chrysler agreement would differ from the tentative GM deal.

The talks with Ford, playing out at the company's Dearborn, Michigan, headquarters, also known as "the Glass House," will be patterned roughly after the deal that covers 48,500 GM workers.

Ford's roughly 41,000 UAW-represented workers have the right to strike and have the highest expectations for wages and bonuses because of the automaker's performance. The UAW has not had a strike at Ford since 1976.

Although the UAW said there is no indication a strike against Ford will be necessary, Settles has said all local union presidents should begin preparing for one in case a deal cannot be reached.

The Household Item That's Stopping Cervical Cancer

The Household Item That's Stopping Cervical CancerVinegar has dozens of uses, an one is saving women's lives. Doctors may be able to significantly reduce the rate of cervical cancer deaths in poor countries thanks to a procedure involving the common household substance.

The New York Times is highlighting the test in a feature on innovative, low-cost solutions to health problems. The procedure is known as VIA/cryo for visualization of the cervix with acetic acid (vinegar) and cryotherapy treatment. It was developed by doctors at Johns Hopkins in the 1990s, and involves brushing vinegar on a woman's cervix. The paper reports that this,

"makes precancerous spots turn white. They can then be immediately frozen off with a metal probe cooled by a tank of carbon dioxide, available from any Coca-Cola bottling plant."

The test was endorsed by the World Health Organization last year, and now it's being rolled out in several countries. Around the world more than 250,000 women die of cervical cancer every year, and most of them live in poorer areas. Cervical cancer used to be the top cancer killer of American women, but the introduction of the Pap smear dramatically reduced the death rate. Pap smears involve lab testing, which isn't available in many parts of the world, but VIA/cryo allows doctors and nurses to diagnose and treat precancerous spots in one visit. The drawback is that sometimes healthcare providers freeze spots that aren't actually cancerous, but this isn't harmful (though it can involve a burning sensation that takes two days to fade).

It's too soon to assess the impact the test is having, but early results are positive. Thailand has been particularly quick to adopt the practice, and 500,000 of the country's 8 million women ages 30 to 44 have already been screened at least once. While it's not as sophisticated as a Pap smear, the cheap and quick procedure may be key to preventing cervical cancer deaths worldwide. Of the 6,000 women included in the first trial 11 years ago, not one has developed full-blown cervical cancer.

What To Feed Saltwater Fish Aquariums - Free Pets to Good Home

What to Feed Saltwater Fish Aquariums

What to Feed Saltwater Fish Aquariums

Anyone who has ever had a canines knows that one of the firstly bits and pieces a responsible dogs owner does is make positive their canines has a balanced diet. They know that the healthy their canines eat, the more likely they are to restraint long plus healthy lives. Fish kept in saltwater fish aquariums are exactly the same. The responsible saltwater aquarium owner knows exactly what types of food his fish needs to survive and makes definite they keep a ready supply of it on hand.

The originally thing you need to know about feeding tropical fish is how much food they should be getting. The general rule of thumb is that when you feed your fish use a stopwatch in addition to time how long it takes them to eat. It should take approximently two minutes for the fish to finish eating. If the fish in your tank finish their food in less then two minutes they probably aren?t getting enough to eat. If after two minutes there is notwithstanding food left over then they are probably getting over fed as well as you will have to cut back. A more accurate way of measuring how much food that fifty adult tropical fish should eat approximately ten grams of food in one month, but that can carry with assortment in addition to growth.

A balanced fish food mostly consists of ten percent fat, thirty to thirty-six percent protein. There should also be amino acids.

The first step in feeding your fish responsibly is knowing what type of food they eat. Some fish can not be kept in a tank that has coral because they like to eat the minute invertebrates that make the coral their home. Predatory fish by and large need to have frozen or live food. Bottom dwelling fish should be fed a type of food that is heavy enough to sink to the bottom of the tank, these fish do not do well and fish foods that float usually in the tanks surface. Aquarium proprietors who are involved in breeding their tropical fish often feed their fish brine shrimp, which they raise in their own brine shrimp hatchery.

Millions number~Hordes~Tens of millions~Huge number~Thousands and thousands} saltwater fish aquariums caretakers like using automatic fish food feeders. Automatic fish food feeders are feeders that can be clamped to the side of the aquarium. Once the fish owner has loaded the hopper and food, the feeder will automatically dispense the food at regular intervals, this allows the fish owner to have extra flexibility as well as not be forced to arrange their schedules around feeding their fish. The average automatic fish food feeder is not capable of dispensing frozen or live food, which does make them convenient for predatory fish. Some absentee fish owners place food blocks in their aquariums.

Tropical fish owners should store their additional fish food in a cool dry place in containers that won?t allow moisture to seep in. Frozen fish food should be disposed of after three months.

One of the dangers in overfeeding fish is that the wasted food can wreck havoc on the pH levels of your aquariums water. If to much discarded food is contaminating the water it can contribute to the death of your fish.

Spike and the UFC will not try to stay friends after break-up

Spike and the UFC will not try to stay friends after break-upSpike and the UFC are getting close to the end of their six-year relationship. They're dividing up their stuff and haggling over the little things, like their shared DVD collection. Like any break-up after a long relationship, it's getting ugly. Spike wants to move in with its new girlfriend, Bellator, but it can't do it with videos from the old girlfriend hanging around:

While Spike TV no longer will air live UFC events after this year, its existing contract allows it to air the UFC library (including past events, former "TUF" seasons, "UFC Unleashed" episodes and specialty programming) in 2012. However, as long as Spike TV has the rights to the content, it can't air programming ? including live events ? from other organizations, such as Bellator, until 2013.

The UFC could make try to buy back the library, but it's unlikely that they will make an offer. The last thing they want to do is hand over the audience they have spent six years building over to Bellator. The tournament-based promotion has been little more than a thorn in the UFC's side, but it could pick up many fans with a Spike deal that would trump Bellator's current deal with MTV2.

But Spike has its own way of dealing with the break-up. Say, counter-programming every UFC card that airs on Fox, starting with the Nov. 12 bout:

On Nov. 12, Spike TV will air a "UFC Unleashed" marathon ? dubbed "Dos Santos vs. Velasquez: Unleashed for the Heavyweight Title" ? featuring past fights with UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and Junior Dos Santos.

This is likely a tactic that won't work out well for Spike in the ratings department, as fans would always prefer live MMA over taped, but it will help them work out their feelings about the break-up. It's OK, Spike. It takes time to heal. Just remember the good times, like the first "Ultimate Fighter" and the first time you had to bleep out a Dana White cuss word.

Determining Skin Cancer Moles

People nowadays are likely to develop skin cancer moles because of long exposure to sunlight. The good news is that this type of cancer is the most curable if detected at the early stage. But if it is not treated, can result to death.

Moles are growth on the skin that is clustered and often brown, black or flesh-color and appears anywhere on the skin. The normal average of moles is from 10 to 40. However, an individual who have more than 100 moles are at risk to acquire melanoma.

Listed below are types of mole cancer:

? Basal cell carcinoma that is developed on skin that is sun-damaged which is likely to affect Caucasian.

? Melanoma which is the rarest form of skin cancer and if not treated will spread to the other parts of the body and will then lead to fatality and is blue in color.

? Squamous cell carcinoma is targeting fair skinned people but affects men than women.it can destroy tissues and is invasive. Causing health problems and if untreated will lead to death.

? Actinic Keratosis can lead to squamous cell carcinoma if not cured early. It affects fair skinned people, eyes that are blue, hazel and green and individuals who have blonde and red hair. People who have weak immune system are also susceptible to acquire this type of skin cancer. This mole is typically rough, pink or red patches and.5 inch in size.

? Actinic cheilitis or commonly known as "sailors lip" or "farmers lip". The lower lip is affected and can lead to squamous cell carcinoma. People that are fair skinned, elderly, men and those that use tobacco are affected. The growth of this skin cancer is accompanied by cracking on the lips and dryness.

Here are the guides to be able to identify if the mole on your skin is cancerous. The ABCDE are vital in enabling you characterize the risky moles.

? A - Asymmetry. If the other half of the mole is not the same in size, color, thickness and shape.

Protesters march in Manhattan, criticizing Wall Street (Reuters)

NEW YORK (Reuters) ? Several hundred marchers wound their way through the streets of lower Manhattan on Saturday in the latest of a string of protests over the past week against what demonstrators saw as corporate greed on Wall Street.

Police said at least 80 protesters were arrested during the march, which was meant to criticize a financial system participants said unfairly benefits corporations and the rich. They said the protests were inspired by demonstrations in Egypt and Spain.

Most of the arrests were for disorderly conduct by people who blocked vehicle and pedestrian traffic during an hours-long march that wound north from the financial district into the bustling Union Square area. One marcher was charged with assaulting a police officer, police said.

The marchers carried signs spelling out their goals. "Tax the rich," one placard said. "We Want Money for Healthcare not Corporate Welfare," read another.

The demonstrators were mostly college-aged marchers carrying American flags and signs with anti-corporate slogans. Some beat drums, blew horns and chanted slogans as uniformed officers surrounded and videotaped them.

"Occupy Wall Street," they chanted, "all day, all week."

Organizers fell short of that goal. With metal barricades and swarms of police officers in front of the New York Stock Exchange, the closest protesters could get was Liberty Street, about three blocks away.

The first arrest came shortly after noon near the stock exchange. Several blocks away, another protester, who identified himself as Robert Stephens, was arrested after kneeling in the middle of the street outside the Chase Bank building.

"That's the bank that took my mother's home," said Stephens, a law student, before being handcuffed.

The Vancouver-based activist media group Adbusters organized the weeklong event. Word spread via social media, yet the throngs of protesters some participants had hoped for failed to show up.

"I was kind of disappointed with the turnout," said Itamar Lilienthal, 19, a New York University student and marcher.

The protest appeared smaller than a "Day of Rage" a week ago that turned out to be largely peaceful.

Tourists along the march stopped to snap photos, and some acknowledged the demonstrators with waves and peace signs but few joined the protest.

Laurie Hull, who was visiting New York with her husband from Oregon, stopped to watch and said the couple empathized with the marchers after filing for bankruptcy and living without health insurance.

Latest Motorola Xoom 2 leakage outs specs and 'media edition'

Motorola Xoom 2

Just the other day we were presented with a new image of the unannounced Motorola Xoom 2, and yesterday This is my Next and Engadget leaked just about everything except for a working model. It seems there will be two different variations of the Xoom 2, one standard edition and one "Media Edition", which will be a tad smaller.

The Motorola Xoom 2 will allegedly sport a 10.1-inch display and with a thickness of 9mm, just .2mm thicker than the iPad2. Other specs apparently include a 1.2GHz dual core processor of some description, and 1GB of "faster" RAM. Apparently the device will record 1080P video, have the ability to stream Netflix HD, and be the first tablet to ship with Adobe Flash 11 support. It's also said to have an IR blaster built in, which could tie in with some of the Android at Home stuff we've seen in the past. Battery life apparently remains around the 11-hour mark.

Now onto the Motorola Xoom 2 "Media Edition", which reportedly has an 8.2-inch HD IPS display, and is aimed to be an "e-reader replacement". Like the Motorola Xoom 2, this device will have an on-board IR sensor and subwoofer, which makes sense for a media-focused tablet. Could this be the blurry-cam device we saw the other day?

And while we're in full-on speculation mode, could that be a Droid RAZR in the reflection of the shot above?

NASA's dead satellite falls, starting over Pacific (AP)

WASHINGTON ? NASA's dead six-ton satellite fell to Earth early Saturday morning, starting its fiery death plunge somewhere over the vast Pacific Ocean.

Details were still sketchy, but the U.S. Air Force's Joint Space Operations Center and NASA say that the bus-sized satellite first penetrated Earth's atmosphere somewhere over the Pacific Ocean. That doesn't necessarily mean it all fell into the sea. NASA's calculations had predicted that the former climate research satellite would fall over a 500-mile swath.

The two government agencies say the 35-foot satellite fell sometime between 11:23 p.m. EDT and 1:09 a.m. EDT. NASA said it didn't know the precise time or location yet.

Some 26 pieces of the satellite ? representing 1,200 pounds of heavy metal ? were expected to rain down somewhere. The biggest surviving chunk should be no more than 300 pounds.

The Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite is the biggest NASA spacecraft to crash back to Earth, uncontrolled, since the post-Apollo 75-ton Skylab space station and the more than 10-ton Pegasus 2 satellite, both in 1979.

Russia's 135-ton Mir space station slammed through the atmosphere in 2001, but it was a controlled dive into the Pacific.

Before UARS fell, no one had ever been hit by falling space junk and NASA expected that not to change. NASA put the chances that somebody somewhere on Earth would get hurt at 1-in-3,200. But any one person's odds of being struck were estimated at 1-in-22 trillion, given there are 7 billion people on the planet.

Computer Hardware

Never allow yourself to end up being misled into purchasing substandard computer hardware to replace outdated versions. In the event you should pay extra, do this to make certain you?re saddled with something which lasts, and not merely blow up in your face immediately after a short time. And of course, there are indeed such computer hardware being sold these days. Without knowing what you ought to know, you might end up with the wrong hardware and this would mean you have wasted your money in buying them.

If you build it, they will come. If you build your cerebral database of computer hardware information, you will have folks knocking on your door in a short while. It?s just natural. But of course there?s much more involved than just that, but that?s a first good step.

Strange how folks think that they could use a computer the way the things ought to be used without knowing the first thing about computer hardware. It?s just not going to happen. It?s like trying to drive a car without knowing about the wheels, and the battery, and the? It?s just not going to happen.

You must learn about computer hardware now, before they change again. Each new prototype sure has their own unique features, but they are always all build on the technology of the earlier ones. Where else then should you begin learning from?

You could keep your computer hardware business local, or you could decide to take it global. I just thought, what was the point selling to Americans only when you could sell to the whole world? I mean, you are online, aren?t you? What?s to keep you tied down?

All the information on the internet about computer hardware; they are meant to be read, not just browsed through. They keep you informed on technologies past and present, and yet coming. I think it?s priceless.

Snow Removal And Flawless Property Management | Akarak Real ...

Snow removal and property management is of the utmost importance. Of course, it?s a great convenience whether it is meant for an apartment complex or a residential property. Certain locations in a lot of precipitation, sometimes on practically a daily basis.

That means that it?s almost impossible for anyone to shovel away heavy loads and still be able to maintain a property accordingly. Finding the best snow removal company is extremely important for two very important reasons.

The first is that they have to have the correct equipment to handle snowfall for the actual size of the property in question. For instance, a very large area would only be able to be completed by way of a tractor. This would make the removal quicker and more efficient.

Tractors have the strength to push great amounts of snow into an area and keeping it as contained as possible. A pickup truck with a plow may not be able to accomplish this. By maintaining the property as it should be, it will keep accidents at bay, thereby minimizing them.

With regards to minimizing accidents, but could actually save money. For one thing, insurance rates will be kept lower. In addition to that, the property will be better maintained attracting new residents. It will also most likely keep tenants longer.

The second reason is to find a company that is reputable and dependable. This is of the essence They must be there whenever needed, according to mother nature?s schedule, rather than their own. To find the best company, talk to other customers in the vicinity to get their opinion. From there, ensure that the contract is clear and concise according to your own needs. It?s a good way to ensure customer satisfaction on the part of the consumer.

For more information on how to keep the snow away from your roof and garden, be sure to visit the web pages Snorojning and Fasadtvatt, where more information can be viewed.

Charlie Sheen beats Ashton Kutcher in social media race (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) ? Ashton Kutcher and the revamped "Two and a Half Men" might have won the ratings war, but on the social media battlefield, Charlie Sheen is still -- as he's fond of saying -- winning.

A new study released by the research group Visible Technologies indicates that Sheen's Comedy Central roast dominated the conversation on Twitter, generating more than twice the number of tweets than CBS' "Two and a Half Men" premiere Monday, with about 400,000 tweets, versus about 150,000 for "Men."

Meanwhile, analytical group Bluefin Labs reports that the Sheen roast handily beat out "Men" when it came to comments on various social-media sites.

According to Bluefin's research, the roast prompted approximately 148,000 comments from 98,000 unique authors, while "Men" came in third for the night -- behind the roast and "Dancing With the Stars -- with a mere 92,000 comments from 75,000 unique authors.

Kutcher and his new castmates shouldn't feel too bad, however; in terms of eyeballs glued to the shows -- which both aired Monday night -- "Men" easily took the crown, grabbing an astounding 28 million total viewers. Sheen's roast came in a distant second with 6.4 million viewers -- which still made it the most-watched roast in Comedy Central history.

American flag raised over embassy in Libya

The U.S. ambassador returned to work in Libya on Thursday, raising the U.S. flag over a re-opened embassy, a month after Muammar Gadhafi was driven from power with the help of a NATO-led bombing campaign.

Gene Cretz pledged support for Libya's transitional government and said he expected the last Gadhafi loyalists to lay down their arms imminently.

Also Thursday, Tunisia's Interior Ministry said Libya's former prime minister under Gadhafi, Al-Baghdadi al-Mahmoud, had been arrested overnight.

He was captured in the southern town of Tameghza, near Tunisia's border with Algeria, according to ministry spokesman Hichem Meddeb.

Stiff resistance
The forces of the interim Transitional National Council (TNC) are confronting stiff resistance in the last strongholds of Gadhafi loyalists within Libya, and the provisional leadership faces questions about whether it can unify a country divided on tribal and local lines.

Seeking to bolster Libya's new leaders, President Barack Obama said this week Cretz would return to Tripoli and "the American flag that was lowered before our embassy was attacked will be raised again."

The embassy building was ransacked by a mob of Gadhafi supporters before Tripoli was taken over by forces loyal to the new government.

"I think it is a matter of time before Gadhafi and his remaining loyalists, their resistance is finished," Cretz told reporters at a ceremony to mark the re-opening of the U.S. mission.

The White House felt vindicated in its approach to Libya when rebel forces took Tripoli late last month.

It had faced criticism for an initially slow response to the Libyan uprising and then set strict limits on the U.S. role in the NATO air assault, which was officially described as a means of stopping the massacre of civilians.

Obama this week met Mustafa Abdul Jalil, chairman of Libya's National Transitional Council (NTC) when he and interim Prime Minister Mahmoud Jibril came to the United States for the United Nations General Assembly.

The U.S. president held out promise the United States would build new partnerships with Libya, a top oil producer.

Cretz praised the NTC for its efforts to date, but said the formation of new institutions may be drawn out, as regional tensions and frictions between Islamists and those who envision a secular state come to the fore in a new Libyan politics.

"These are splits and fractures in the body politic that are a result of 42 years of mismanagement by Muammar Gadhafi," Cretz said. "There is an East-West problem, the problem of the old regime versus the new regime, the problem of the potential challenge of the Islamists."

"I expect when Mr. Abdel Jalil and Mr. Jibril come from their journey to the U.N., the process will begin in earnest. But it will take what it takes."

WASHINGTON ? Senators who led the fight in Congress to end the ban on gays serving openly in the military are celebrating repeal of the nearly 18-year-old law, calling it an historic accomplishment.

A half-dozen lawmakers marked the occasion at a Capitol Hill news conference Tuesday. They were joined by three service members who could now say openly that they were gay.

Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Carl Levin said the nation had passed another milestone toward a "more just and more tolerant society." Republican Sen. Susan Collins of Maine read aloud from a postcard from a soldier in Afghanistan who thanked her for her courage in backing repeal.

Eating And Feeling For Beautiful Hair

This article has been viewed 2 times.

Do you know that what you eat greatly influences the quality of your hair? Number one on the list is to get some quality proteins in your diet. Protein is the main building block of your hair. Next on the list is carbohydrates. And, no, we don?t mean as in sugar, but the complex carbs found in vegetables and fruits. Vitmains and minerals are also important. Zinc, the B vitamin family, especially Vit B12 and also Folic Acid.

Your hair is a pretty quick barometer for how you feel and what you eat. Poor food choices and stress can make your hair look like hay. Here are some tips on how to nourish your hair and how to make it healthy and shining.

Get some quality protein as in Salmon. Salmon contains not only good protein but also Omega fatty acids. Besides having some salmon several times a week, consider taking a supplement with Salmon oil, or even better, Krill oil. Adding the fish oils will not only help your hair, but your skin will see a definite improvement as well.

Eggs are another winner. Eggs have good proteins and the yolk has, besides many vitamins and minerals, lecithin which is another compound so important for beautiful hair. Commercial hair potions often contain lecithin. Consuming the egg though will ensure you get the protein and the vitamins also, along with the lecithin.

The complex carbohydrates can be brown rice fruits or vegetables. Do make an attempt to stay away from refined carbs which do nothing good for your body at all, let alone your hair.

Manage your stress level. We all know how the hair can look absolutely dead when we are under extreme stress. But lesser stress have an adverse affect as well. Do make it a habit to spend a bit of time every day where you can focus on good feelings and feel relaxed and at peace. Starting a meditation program, taking yoga classes, or choose from one of the many excellent DVD?s available and do it at home, take a walk a few evenings a week, get enough sleep.Doing things that are fun is also a great stress buster. Play board games with family or friends, watch funny movies, read funny books, play with your cat. Shifting the mond away from the every day stress vibration to something pleasant and fun will benefit your entire body and mind. Peace inside makes for a shinier hair! xzzws99
