A true sign of someone who has a successful career in entertainment is when another person wants to do a spoof of their work. Recently, singing superstar Adele has had the artwork for her album "21," re-created by British comedian James Corden. Corden posed as the Scottish-born star for a photo shoot, and she loved it! The fact that Adele can laugh at herself and not take things too seriously is just one of the reasons she is so popular. Here are another three reasons why we love her!
She evokes emotion
It is very rare to find a songwriter who can describe a feeling or situation so perfectly that it makes people cry. When she released songs such as "Make You Feel My Love" and "Someone Like You," it became obvious that she has a special gift. It takes a true talent to be able to write such beautiful, real lyrics and that is one of the biggest things that keeps people coming back for more.
She keeps it real
You might think that someone who is a global sensation would be used to performing in front of crowds, but the Grammy winner herself admits that she sometimes vomits before going on stage! She claims that the more afraid she is beforehand, the better she performs. There aren't many who would be so open to admitting such a thing, but her down-to-Earth attitude makes her very easy to relate to.
She won't give into the pressure to look "perfect"
Many celebrities fall into the trap of believing you have to be skinny and flawless to make it in the industry. Women who were once beautiful, suddenly jump on the latest dieting fad and shed pounds they never really needed to lose. The curvy singer has often stated that she has no desire to lose weight just to fit in with what is considered "normal." Instead, she is happy just to be herself.
Musically, Adele is one of the best singers and songwriters in recent years, but there is so much more to love about her. She has no problem making fun of herself and she doesn't feel the need to conform to certain stereotypes to fit in. The UK's most shining star isn't willing to compromise who she is for fame, which makes her an incredible role model. If she can continue to stay grounded, she really will have the long career she deserves.
